Children’s Opportunity Group Luncheon | Event Production
The Supersede Group is proud to help the Children’s Opportunity Group annually with their luncheon to raise money for families in need in Broward County. Children’s Opportunity Group was founded in Ft. Lauderdale in 1949, under the name of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a national social sorority. This group of 25 women wanted to focus entirely on serving the needy children of Broward County. Together, the ladies raised money for the community through the proceeds they made on luncheons and other annual fundraisers. In 1955, they decided to break away from the sorority Epsilon Sigma Alpha, and give themselves a new name, Children’s Opportunity Group or COG for short. To date, Children’s Opportunity Group keeps its membership limited to only 50 women, who still meet in each other’s homes on a monthly basis. The COG still strives to raise money in support of needy children, and primarily in Broward County. The annual luncheon is the main source of funds allowing us to reach out to Broward’s youth.
